“For my fortieth birthday, rather than merely bore my friends by having anything as mundane as a midlife crisis I decided it might be more interesting to actually terrify them by going completely mad and declaring myself a magician. This had been something coming for a while, it semed to be a logical end step in my career as a writer and the problem is that with magic, being in many respects a science of language, you have to be very careful of what you say. Because if you suddendly declare yourself to be a magician without any knowledge of what that entails, then one day you are likely to wake up and to discover that is exactly what you are.”

“So I believe that we should trust our children. Normal children do not confuse reality and fantasy – they confuse them much less often than we adults do (as a certain great fantasist pointed out in a story called “The Emperor’s New Clothes”). Children know perfectly well that unicorns aren’t real, but they also know that books about unicorns, if they are good books, are true books. All too often, that’s more than Mummy and Daddy know; for, in denying their childhood, the adults have denied half their knowledge, and are left with the sad, sterile little fact: “Unicorns aren’t real.” And that fact is one that never got anybody anywhere (…) It is by such statements as, “Once upon a time there was a dragon,” or “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit” – it is by such beautiful non-facts that we fantastic human beings may arrive, in our peculiar fashion, at the truth (…)
People who deny the existence of dragons are often eaten by dragons. From within.”

“Magic is defined as the opposite of Law. Law is predictable, reproducible, and constant. Magic is unpredictable, not reproducible, and random. Law is the essence of the Gods of Law, while Magic is the essence of the Gods of Chaos. (…) Since the world was created from the stuff of Chaos, enough Chaos (which is only a convenient term for endless possibilities) remains in the fabric of reality to allow Magic to function…”

So here I am...

In 2014 I started my fist blog on Wordpress.com, "Le Terre dei Sogni" ("The Lands of Dreams"). In late 2017 I had problems with the account and I decided to start a new blog called "La Stella a Otto Punte" ("The Eight-Pointed Star") a symbol of Chaos Magick. Later I recovered the account for the first blog but I decided to mantain both (well, mainly the second) since my interest in Magic was becoming an increasing relevant and important part of my life.
Now I re-discovered my blogger/google profile since I was doing some research on the three "god-names" used in the Triangle of Art of the Lesser Key of Solomon, regarding Goetic summonings. And I stumbled upon a blog ("The Occultist" by Gilbert) with a very well informed investigation on the matter that I would like to translate and publish on my italian blog.

The original article

Problem is: the last post on "The Occultist" was 13 years ago... I sent a comment to ask permission for this translation but I'm not expecting a prompt reply...
In any way, since I recovered this account, I thought it could be interesting to open a blog in English with some of my research and my content.
Hope you will find it interesting and useful.
So... Thanx for being here, and greetings from Italy.
